The Shimano SLX Spinning Rods are a series of entry-level bass-focused spinning rods. Just like the Shimano SLX Reels, these rods are designed to bring high-quality tournament performance to everyday anglers by offering anglers a wide range of bass tackle at competitive price points.

The SLX uses 24-ton Japanese carbon blanks with a sensitive carbon foregrip. These provide the rod with ample power while still ensuring they’re sensitive enough to allow you to feel your bait’s movement underwater. Sensitivity is further bolstered by a custom Shimano reel seat, EVA foam split grips, and titanium-oxide semi-micro guides, the latter of which also provides incredible line management and improves casting distance.
