The Shimano SLX 150 DC is a new series of digitally controlled, low profile baitcasting reels from Shimano. The SLX 150 DC utilizes the same platform as the standard SLX series of baitcasting reels, adding on Shimano’s proprietary I-DC4 Digital Control Braking system. The internal computerized braking system has a microchip that monitors spool speed 1000 times per second, making small micro-adjustments to apply the perfect amount of pressure to increase casting distance and prevent backlash.

Just like the standard SLX, the SLX 150 DC is a true workhorse offered in all the most important bass fishing gear ratios (6.3:1, 7.2:1, and 8.2:1), the SLX 150 DC is capable of a wide range of bass fishing techniques, from flippin’ and froggin’, to deep crankin’ and drop shottin’.
